Call for Liaisons

ACRL has a rich history of working with its membership to establish and cultivate relationships beyond ALA. Liaison relationships allow ACRL to systematically identify, develop, and maintain productive channels for formal and informal dialogue as well as partnerships for research, exchange of ideas, discussion of common standards and practice, joint publication, and pursuing common goals with other organizations interested in higher education. Liaisons exist to help organizations understand the value-added asset libraries can bring to their respective missions and goals.

The Liaisons Coordinating Committee (LCC) oversees and coordinates the ACRL liaison relationship activities with external, non-library organizations across all levels of the association. If your ACRL unit currently maintains a liaison relationship with an external organization please consider registering with the Liaisons Coordinating Committee. Liaisons Funding Requests (Due Aug 1st)

Liaisons registered with the ACRL Liaison Coordinating Committee as part of the ACRL Liaison Assembly are invited to apply to the Liaisons Grants Committee (LGC) for funding for their work. ACRL units managing liaison relationships with target organizations are also encouraged to contribute funding for the work of their liaison. See this webpage for full guidelines:

The 2013-2014 Liaisons grant funding requests are due August 1st.  Please contact LGC Chair, Lorelei Tanji with questions.
