  • Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be an academic librarian? Register for ACRL Presents: An Introduction to Academic Librarianship on October 30 to learn about skills, credentials, and areas of knowledge commonly required of academic librarians, so you can find appropriate educational and experiential opportunities.
  • Nominations are now open for the 2020 ACRL Awards Program. Many ACRL sections sponsor awards recognizing the significant achievements and contributions of their members. More information can be found in the awards section of the ACRL website. The nomination deadline for most awards is December 6, 2019.
  • On Friday, November 22 from 2:00-3:00 pm EST, the Education and Behavioral Sciences Section is hosting an online forum for students to learn about academic librarian careers.
  • Academic Libraries in Sri Lanka: Interested in learning more about academic libraries work in Sri Lanka? Join the International Perspectives on Academic and Research Libraries Discussion Group for this free webinar to hear from one academic librarian (Hasitha Koralage) to talk about his work in this island country in South Asia. \
