The University of Southern California (USC) Libraries seek an innovative, service oriented, and experienced information professional to lead and manage the public service operations of USC Libraries. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean, serves as a member of the Dean’s Cabinet, and ensures the overall effectiveness of the extensive public service operations of 14 physically separate branch libraries as well as the interlibrary loan and document delivery service. The Associate Dean, Public Services (#273) works closely with faculty, students, scholars, researchers, administrators, and community users to develop new teaching, service, learning and research opportunities in an innovative and responsive way.
Requirements: At least 8 years of progressively responsible experience devoted to developing and managing user-focused services in an academic or research library is required; ALA-accredited MLS typically required.
