Stop being Busy and Start being Productive
The ULS Professional Development Committee is please to announce an upcoming online program.
Date: Wednesday, May 3, 2017
Time: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm CST
Presenter: Jason Martin, Associate Dean of the Walker Library at Middle Tennessee State University
The Internet and social media are filled with posts, memes, and images about “the grind.” This belief system that doing more is the minimum and doing less is unforgivable only leads to burnout with not a lot to show for all that doing. This program is not about the grind. Instead, it will focus on how we can do more of what will bring us closer to our goals, vision, and life’s meaning and do less, if any at all, of the things that distract us, that hinder our progress, and have no meaning for us. This session will help you discover tools, tips, and methods to help you get the most out of your personal and professional life by developing good habits, having a plan of action, and limiting distractions so we can focus on the projects and goals that matter to most to us.
