Library Leadership Programs: A Conversation

Hosted by the ACRL Leadership Discussion Group, in this free webinar, three panelists will share their experiences in the three library leadership programs: ALA Leadership Institute, Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians at Harvard, and UCLA Library Senior Fellows. They will talk about why they participated in the programs, the programs themselves, what benefits they gained from them, and more! All attendees are welcome to attend! Those who have also participated in such programs are invited to attend.
Andrew Carlos, California State University, East Bay
Andrew Carlos is the STEM and Web Services Librarian at California State University, East Bay. His research interests include emerging technology, makerspaces, user interface design, mobile technology, popular and viral culture, and information literacy instruction. He previously worked as a school librarian in a private high school, as a public librarian in a large, multi-site system, and within a law school library as a serials assistant.
Regina Gong, Michigan State University
Regina Gong is the OER and Student Success Librarian at Michigan State University. She is on her 2nd year of her PhD studies at the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (HALE) Program at MSU. Her research interest centers around open education and OER leadership among women of color.
Ruth Wallach, University of Southern California
Ruth Wallach is the Associate Dean for Public Services at the University of Southern California Libraries. Prior to this she was Head of the Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts Library, also at USC. She holds a Master of Public Art Studies from the USC Roski School of Fine Arts and a Master of Heritage Conservation from the USC School of Architecture.
