Libraries and Student Affairs Collaborations (ALA Annual 2017)
The ULS Campus Administration and Leadership Discussion Group hopes you will join us for a rousing conversation about libraries and student affairs collaborations at ALA Annual. Academic libraries often report to Academic Affairs, but have much in common with Student Affairs. How can academic libraries working collaboratively with Student Affairs units to ensure student success?
Date: Saturday, June 24
Time: 1 – 2:30pm
Location: Palmer House Hilton, Honore Ballroom
Dallas Long will be facilitating the conversation. Dallas has served as the Associate Dean of Libraries at Illinois State University since 2012. He was previously the Residential Life Librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was embedded in the undergraduate residence halls and supported the first-year experience. His research interests explore collaborations between librarians and student affairs professionals that enrich student success. He holds a doctorate in higher education from Illinois State University and master’s degrees in education and library science from the University of Illinois.
