Creating, Promoting, and Assessing Workshops for Research Data Services (Video Replay)
This is a recording of the March 8, 2023 presentation: Creating, Promoting, and Assessing Workshops for Research Data Services, a Tech Forum sponsored by the Technology in University Libraries Committee.
This webinar reviewed strategies for teaching workshops on tools, software, and programming languages relevant to research data services (RDS), including Tableau, Python, Bash Shell, MATLAB, DMPTool, etc. Presenters discussed the history and evolution of their RDS workshops, as well as their experiences with teaching, modes of instruction and learning outcomes, workshops and consultations with their student informatics team, and the overall vision for future workshops. They also discussed their approach to RDS needs assessment, and their plans for future assessment of individual workshops, and assessment of the program as a whole.
