From the ALA Washington Office:
In June 2012, the ALA Committee on Legislation (COL) formed a Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Task Force to discuss the future of the program and how ALA might develop consensus within our membership to present a united voice on policy considerations. The COL FDLP Task Force is considering the development of a national preservation plan in order to analyze a variety of issues that ALA might consider in the near future. The COL FDLP Task Force released its report in June 2013 and is now seeking to discuss sections of the report with all parts of the American Library Association. Your perspectives will be instrumental in advising COL and the Task Force on how ALA can lead change within the FDLP improving access to federal information.
