The Teacher and Program tracks will be held July 28-August 2, 2013 at Seattle University.  These tracks will provide four-and-a-half days of intensive information literacy training and education for academic librarians.  Teacher Track focuses on individual development for those who are interested in enhancing, refreshing, or extending their individual instruction skills.  Program Track focuses on developing, integrating, and managing institutional and programmatic information literacy programs.

The Teaching with Technology track a “blended” approach that consists of an initial day-long face to face workshop at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago, June 28, 2013, followed by four weeks in an online environment. This track will provide a practical and design-minded framework for evaluating instructional technologies in order to integrate them more effectively into face to face and/or online teaching. The curriculum includes instructional design, online learning theories, a critical and accessible approach to instructional technology, and strategies for creating engaging and outcomes-focused instructional experiences.

Acceptance to Immersion ’13 is competitive to ensure an environment that fosters group interaction and active participation. Complete program and track details, along with application materials, are available online. The application deadline is December 7, 2012, and notifications will be issued in February 2013.  Questions concerning the program or application process should be directed to Margot Conahan at (312) 280-2522 or e-mail
