Member of the Week: Johnnie Love

Johnnie LoveJohnnieque B. (Johnnie) Love is Coordinator of Personnel Programs at the University of Maryland Libraries in College Park. Johnnie has been an ACRL member since 1996 and is your ACRL member of the week.

1. Describe yourself in three words: Confident, committed, collaborator.

2. Describe ACRL in three words: Leader, engaging, futuristic.

3. Why did you join ACRL? I joined ACRL so that I could be informed about the latest research and activity in the academic library profession.

4. What do you value about academic or research librarianship? I value the vital role the academic and/or research librarianship plays in advancing the access of information and the ongoing commitment to provide service to the academic community with its diversity of learners.

5. In your own words: Our academic library profession will always be central as well as critical to the academic community because of our consistent desire to serve and provide access to information and resources, and to assist in the instruction process.
