ALA has announced the participants for the 2010 Emerging Leaders program. This year’s three ACRL-sponsored emerging leaders are Hui-Fen Chang, Humanities and Social Sciences Librarian, Oklahoma State University Library, sponsored by ACRL; Wendy Girven, Public Services Librarian, University of Alaska – Juneau, sponsored by the ACRL University Library Section; and Arianne Hartsell-Gundy, Humanities Librarian, Miami University, sponsored by the ACRL Instruction Section. Congratulations to the 2010 ACRL Emerging Leaders!
The Emerging Leaders program enables approximately 100 library staff from across the country to participate in project planning workgroups; network with peers; gain an inside look into ALA structure; and have an opportunity to serve the profession in a leadership capacity early in their careers. The fourth year of the program kicks off at the 2010 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston and culminates with a poster session showcasing the results of the project planning work at the 2010 ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.. More information on the program, and a complete list of participants, is available online.
